Kearney Public Schools is pleased to announce the appointment of Jeff Schwartz as the new Director of Student Services and Safety. Jeff Schwartz, who has an extensive background in educational administration and is a proud Kearney Public Schools alumnus, steps into this role with a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to student welfare and safety.
Mr. Schwartz’s educational qualifications include a Specialist Degree, a Master’s in Administration, and a Bachelor of Arts in Education, with specializations in Administration, K-12 Health and Physical Education, and 7-12 Business Education, Marketing, and Information Technology. His professional journey in education spans several leadership roles, including Superintendent of Boone Central Schools, Principal of Axtell Public Schools, and Assistant Principal and Activities Director of Auburn Public Schools and Riverside Public Schools.
“We are very excited to welcome Jeff Schwartz and his family back to Kearney and Kearney Public Schools! Mr. Schwartz is a collegial, experienced, and talented leader who collaboratively leads and solves problems,” said Jason Mundorf, KPS Superintendent. “ He will be a supportive communicator who will continue the tremendous leadership we’ve experienced in student services and safety under Dr. Endorf. We look forward to Jeff working with our talented SROs and staff for students.”
Jeff Schwartz will be stepping into the shoes of Dr. Dan Endorf, who will be taking on the role of Superintendent at Cozad Public Schools. Jeff’s transition into this new position is a significant move for Kearney Public Schools as the district continues to prioritize the safety and well-being of its students.
