LEXINGTON- With winter sports approaching, it’s also time for a new season for boys and girls wrestling in Lexington.
The Minutemen are looking to use a strong senior class this year. Last year, Lexington did not qualify as a team for the state tournament last year, but the senior leadership is something Lexington hopes can push them to have a couple qualifiers this season.

For the Minutemaids, girls wrestling continues to grow throughout the state with this being the second year it has been sanctioned by the NSAA. Lexington is looking forward to having more competition this year and as the year goes on. The Minutemaids have over 30 wrestlers out for the team this season. Last year, they finished runner up with 5 qualifying wrestlers.
