Last Supper Pageant at Lex returns for Holy Week
The public is invited to enjoy Trinity Lutheran Church in Lexington’s Last Supper Pageant during performances at 7 p.m. on April 13 and 14. The pageant returns after a four-year hiatus and features 13 congregation members as the disciples and Jesus as they recite sililoquies and maintain tableau poses as found in Leonardo da Vinci’s famous painting of “The Last Supper.” A social hour in the church fellowship hall will follow each performance. LEXINGTON – As Holy Week approaches Trinity Lutheran Church, 205 E. Seventh St. in Lexington,
announces that after a four-year hiatus they will present their Easter gift to the
community in a live dramatization of Leonardo da Vinci’s painting of “The Last Supper.”

The pageant is based on the soliloquies of Ernest K. Emurian with the 12 disciples and
Jesus in tableau as portrayed in the da Vinci painting.

The pageant is scheduled for Wednesday, April 13, and Thursday, April 14, with both
services starting at 7 p.m. No tickets are needed. A social hour will follow the pageant
both evenings in the church fellowship hall allowing those attending to meet and greet
members involved with the production.

Directing the pageant will be John Moore, who will be assisted by nearly 40 other Trinity
members during production of the pageant. Members volunteer their time either as actors,
musicians, vocalists, members of the stage, sound or technical crews. Others assist with
makeup, costumes and props, serve as ushers or help provide and serve refreshments for
the post-performance social hour.

The cast for this year’s production includes Gary Petersen as Jesus; Rick Trampe as
James; Marcus Porath as Matthew; Derek Hoefner as Nathaniel; Quentin Dailey as James
the Less; Bobby Potter as Andrew; Nick Niemeier as Thomas; Keith Anderson as Judas;
Mike Thome as Thaddeus; Robb Koerting as Philip; Alex Kuefner as John; Don Batie as
Simon the Zealot and Jared Bauer as Peter. Serving as narrator is the Rev. Rob Kuefner.
