The Nebraska Department of Transportation has closed Highway 30 in both directions from Lexington to Kearney.
Dawson County Sheriff Mark Montgomery is asking people to stay off the Highway. Several deputies worked the scene of a semi accident east of Overton on Highway 30 that blocked both lanes, at times under whiteout conditions. Around 6:10pm, Sheriff Montgomery reported the semi had been removed.
