Falcons look to continue their prosperous year with an improved track and field team
March 21st, 2024 | Jon Schilling

Wilcox, Neb. – The Wilcox-Hildreth Falcons have enjoyed a school year full of athletic success. Heading into spring, Wilcox-Hildreth should see that good fortune carry over into their track and field season. With a handful of newcomers joining the track team after opting out in their previous high school years, that carryover brings high hopes for 2024.

Fifth-year head coach Jordan Glenn won’t have to go at it alone this season after Dustin Johnson was elevated to the co-head coaching ranks. Johnson is no stranger to Falcons track and field either after spending the previous two seasons as an assistant.

Heading into the new season, the Falcons look to their distance runners and throwers to lead the way. Coach Glenn says his sprinters look to take a leap forward this season with those aforementioned newcomers offering the athleticism that Wilcox-Hildreth has been able to enjoy throughout the 2023-2024 year. The Falcon track and field team will see a more balanced group this season that will put them in a better position to bring home some hardware.

Co-head coach Jordan Glenn talks with KUVR’s Jon Schilling about where the Falcons are headed in 2024.

The Falcons open up the season with their home invitational on Friday, March 22.
