The Phelps County Sheriff’s Office assisted the Nebraska State Patrol in arresting a 20-year-old man on a Lancaster County arrest warrant for Possession of Child Pornography. Jayden Dietz of Clarks was taken into custody in Atlanta without incident Monday morning. It stems from an investigation by Lincoln Police Department.
Dietz faces a charge of 1st Degree Sexual Assault of a Child that was investigated on Janaury 31, 2021. He was released on 10% of $50,000 bond in that case in early February. A phone seized during the arrest was searched and found to contain explicit images and videos.
Dietz is scheduled to be arraigned in Lancaster County Court this afternoon(Tues) on the child pornograpy charge. His next hearing in the sexual assault case is scheduled for May 18, 2021.
