ESTHERVILLE, Iowa – The Northeast Community College volleyball team played their first game in six days Wednesday night as they traveled to Estherville, Iowa to take on Iowa Lakes Community College. The Hawks fell in the matchup by a final score of 3-1 in four sets.

The Hawks (10-9, 0-4 ICCAC) dropped each of the first two sets but made a spectacular rally to take the third. The Lakers went on to win set four and thus came out with the overall victory.

HEAR FROM THE HAWKS COACH:

Head volleyball coach Amanda Schultze’s overall thoughts on the game:

“We need to get better,” Schultze said. “We aren’t showing up mentally and are not saying disciplined.”

Schultze on how she wants her team to use the weekend before her team returns to their home floor next Wednesday:

“We need to work hard in practice the next few days and demand more from each other,” Schultze said.

UP NEXT:

The Hawks will be back at home after a long hiatus on the road as they will square off with Southeastern Community College at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Cox Activities Center in Norfolk.
