The American Heart Association will be awarding $85,000 in grants during a Lifeline Rural Stroke Innovators Grant Digital Summit on Thursday at 4:00 p.m. Project Director Beth Malina.
Each grant is worth $42,500 with one being awarded for impacting rehabilitation and another for improving outcomes for rural stroke patients.
Malina says its important for those affected by stroke in some manner to take part in this.
Malina shares this simple model to follow to tell if someone is having a stroke.
Malina says Attendees will hear project summaries from grant applicants, hear from stroke survivors, and learn more about the challenges facing rural health care in Nebraska.
There is no limit to how many people can attend and the Digital Summit is open to anyone, according to Malina.
Registration is free and can be done at www.Heart.Org/NEInnovatorGrant.
