The Heartland Museum of Military Vehicles in Lexington has had an intern these past couple of months. Colton Oser is from St. Charles, Iowa and will graduate from Buena Vista College in Iowa this Spring. Oser has a love of military vehicles and their role in history, which is part of what led him to seek an internship at the Heartland Museum for his last remaining college credits.

Oser has been performing mostly administrative duties in his internship by organizing the books in the library and creating an electronic database on them. He has also re-written vehicle descriptions around the museum and creating a QR code on them to allow the visitor to see the description online.

Oser even drove a military truck he restored from his home in Iowa to his internship, a distance of about 364 miles.

RRN/ Heartland Museum intern Colton Oser created a computerized reference to find military books in the Heartlan Museum Library and updated descriptions of military vehicles in the Museum.
