SARGENT – The recall effort against four of the six members of the Sargent Board of Education has succeeded.
Unofficial results from the Custer County Clerk show that all four board members targeted by the effort will be removed from office.
Board President Martin Riddle was recalled with an unofficial tally of 237 votes for to 164 against, Vice President Loyd Pointer’s count was 253 for to 147 against, Tammera Moody’s total was 246 for to 155 against and for Laura Kipp it was 231 for and 170 against.
The four have faced intense blowback since a surprise decision in February not to retain Cory Grint as principal.
