Cozad earned a much needed close win over a good team as the Haymakers won what turned out to be the the game of the week across the state of Nebraska as they won on the road over Central City 56-55 in double overtime. Head coach Jacye Dueland talks about the big win with KRVN’s Jayson Jorgensen.
Senior quarterback Noah Shoemaker had a night to remember with 391 yards passing and eight touchdowns. He also scored the game winning two point conversion. Oliver Davis had 9 catches for 148 yards and three touchdowns. Boston Irish had four grabs for 137 yards and two touchdowns. Cozad is now 1-1 on the season and will host Ogallala on Friday night.
