On Thursday, the Nebraska Farm Bureau (NEFB) had the 6th annual Agriculture and International Trade Report.
This report provides an overview of Nebraska’s agriculture trade, the impact on personal agriculture commodities, and how that translates to each county in Nebraska.
“Nebraska was once again the fifth-largest agricultural exporting state in 2021 with exported agricultural commodities worth $9.2 billion, the first time Nebraska exports of commodities exceeded $9 billion…” said Harthoorn.
Although the numbers are up from past years, there is still concern expressed for the future from NEFB and Nebraska Congressman Adrian Smith.
Smith said that the “Biden administration is not taking advantage of some great opportunities that were left behind by the past administration.”
