Governor Jim Pillen proclaimed March 17-23 as Agriculture Week in Nebraska.

Announced at a press conference held at the Greenhouse Innovation Center at Nebraska Innovation Campus, Pillen said Nebraska’s agriculture industry has a bright future, pointing to research, technology and youth.

“Everything that takes place in the state of Nebraska starts with agriculture,” Pillen said.

The governor was joined by the Nebraska Department of Agriculture, FFA members, 4-H members, and representatives from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and Nebraska Farm Bureau among others.

“These young people need to know the grass is thickest, greenest, and tallest here in Nebraska. The careers and the opportunities are incredible,” he said.
