WSC home baseball vs. SMSU Wednesday moved up to 12 p.m. start

Wayne State head baseball coach Alex Koch has announced that Wednesday’s Southwest Minnesota State at Wayne State NSIC baseball doubleheader at the Pete Chapman Baseball Complex in Wayne will now start at 12 p.m. instead of the originally scheduled 1:30 p.m.  The Wildcats enter the twinbill leading the NSIC with a 15-3 record while sporting a 20-8 overall mark with the Mustangs sitting seventh place in the NSIC at 11-8 and 17-11 on tthe season.  WSC holds a 62-29 lead in the all-time series vs. SMSU.  Last season the Mustangs swept a three-game regular season series in Wayne by scores of 5-3, 10-3 and 4-1 but the Wildcats outlasted SMSU in the NSIC Tournament at Bismarck, North Dakota in May 7-6 in 15 innings.
