The West Point City Council voted to give authorization to go out for bids for quonset/building removal at 418 N. Mill St. at Tuesday night’s meeting. City Administrator Tom Goulette says this is to clear space for future development, including a new rec center potentially.

Also at Tuesday night’s meeting, Tina from the Chamber announced that this year’s Farmer’s Market will be moved from behind the Theater to the Eagles Club Parking Lot.

West Point’s new Swimming Pool is set to open next month. Goulette says things are on schedule for that to happen.

Goulette says the pool is expected to open to the public Memorial Day Weekend.
