West Point Man Arrested on Felony Drug Charge Near Pilger

Just after 10:00 p.m. on Saturday night the Stanton County Sheriff’s office received a noise complaint at Willers Cove Lake area, just south of Pilger. The complaint was loud music was coming from a vehicle that was parked in the area and should not be there. Upon arriving contact was made with the lone male occupant of the vehicle, and he was identified as 49-year-old Jeremy Meyer of West Point. During the contact Meyer was found to have an open alcoholic container and was also found in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. Meyer was placed under arrest and jailed on the felony drug charge. He is scheduled to appear in court next month.
