West Point-Beemer sends five to State Track

District Track got underway on Tuesday.

West Point-Beemer participated in the B-4 Meet at Boone Central.

The Cadet Girls finished in 4th place as a team with a score of 60 while the boys placed 9th with a score of 25.

Treven Weddle qualified for State in the Long Jump and Triple Jump with a 3rd place finish at 20-08 and 1st place finish at 43-06.50, respectively, Meg Anderson qualified in the Shot Put, finishing 2nd at 38-05, as did Mia Hunke as she took 2nd in the 100 M Hurdles at 15.80, 1st in the 300 M Hurdles at 46.63, and 1st in the 400 M Dash at 1:00.22. Allie Kaup also qualified, taking 2nd in the 800 M Run at 2:25.21, and Campbell Snodgrass qualified as well as she took 2nd in the Triple Jump at 33-10.50.

Class D takes place on Wednesday with Howells-Dodge and Scribner-Snyder participating in D-2 at Osceola, and Pender, Bancroft-Rosalie, and Lyons-Decatur Northeast taking part in D-3 at Hartington-Newcastle.
