Washington County Sheriff’s Office Weekend Activity Summary

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office Friday night did inform those at DeSoto Park Campground, Cottonwood Cove, River View and other places close to the river that flooding is immenant and to take precautions. Other matters on the Washington County Sheriff’s Summary just released Monday morning include a rollover accdient at County Roads 31 and 34 – the driver was transported by Kennard Volunteer Fire and Rescue to an Omaha hospital. Another single vehicle accident over the weekend at Highway 75 and County Road p-30, a traffic stop ends in the arrest of a 22 year old for driving under suspension, another traffic stop, at County Roads p-33 and 18 ends in the arrest of a 23 year old for first offense drunk driving. A traffic stop in Fort Calhoun late last night ends in the arrest of a 30 year old for drunk driving after he was clocked going 60 miles per hour in a 25 mile per hour zone. Additionally, a man was found climbing an electrical tower at County Road p-33 and Hillcrest. Deputies ordered the man to come down. The man says he just wanted to see what the view was like from the top of the tower.
