OMAHA, Neb. – Omaha volleyball never let up Saturday as the Mavericks completed a three-set (25-16, 25-16, 25-21) sweep of Oral Roberts at Baxter Arena.
Matt Buttermore‘s team hit at a .347 clip, compared to the Golden Eagles’ mark of .099.
Amanda Hardt shined with 12.5 points on a team-leading 12 kills, along with a dig and block assist.
Julia Owens contributed three aces and Kali Jurgensmeier led the way with five block assists (tied with Emily Huss for match lead).
In the opening frame, Omaha opened a seven-point lead at 15-8 and didn’t look back, allowing just eight more Oral Roberts scores before closing out the first, and second, 25-16.
The third set sat at 22-20 before Omaha came out of a timeout strong on a 3-1 run to secure the Mavs’ fourth sweep of the campaign.
