Stanton Man Arrested on Felony Sex Offender Registry Violation
June 17th, 2024 | Stanton County Sheriff

A 31-year-old Stanton man was arrested on Sunday following an investigation into his whereabouts over the past two weeks by the Stanton County Sheriff’s office.

Kody Dittmer has been living in Stanton and failed to notify the Sheriff’s office of his location after he left the area.

As a registered sex offender, Dittmer is required by Nebraska state statutes to verify his movements and location if absent for more than several days.

Dittmer was tracked down to the Aurora area, and he had not notified authorities that he was staying in that area.

Cooperation between the Stanton and Hamilton County Sheriff’s office led to his arrest, and he remains in jail pending the setting of a cash bond.
