A crowd-pleasing dish for the Big Game could be the difference between victory and defeat at your social gathering this weekend.
The Nebraska Beef Council said choosing beef is an easy way to make a variety of appetizers, dips and dishes by using different cuts of meat.
“Besides the great taste of beef, one of the other reasons people turn to beef for their game day recipes is the convenience and versatility,” said Adam Wegner, NBC’s director of marketing.
Wegner said ground beef, for example, has a lot of recipe applications, including spicy nacho pizza and Cajun meatballs. Beef roasts prepared in a slow cooker can also be made into a variety of dishes like beer-braised beef tacos and cheeseburger dip.
“Roasts are also a great option if you’re feeding a larger group because you can prepare two or three pounds of product all at once and then use it for a variety of dishes,” he said.
Wegner said for those who aren’t skilled in the cooking department, beef jerky trail mix is a tasty way to bring beef to the party.
