According to Cuming County Clerk Bonnie Vogltance, the Cuming County voter turnout for Tuesday’s primary election was 29.6%.

In the election for Cuming County supervisor district 6, Chad Dixon received 136 votes and David Brown received 89 votes.

Beemer Economic Development plan – 0.5% sales and use tax to be used for economic development over a 10 year period – both questions passed…. Question one passed 67 in favor and 44 opposed, along with question 2 with 67 in favor and 39 opposed.

In Cuming County, five townships requested a levy override, and four of the five passed. The Beemer township levy override question passed with 72 votes in favor and 62 opposed. Grant township passed with 22 in favor and 6 opposed. Blaine township lid override passed with 16 in favor and 8 opposed. Wisner township levy and lid override passed on a 28 to 4 vote. One requested failed… the Lincoln township levy-lid override request failed with 38 votes in opposition and 34 votes in favor of the request.

Nebraska results
Voter turnout: 27% with just over 333-thousand Nebraskans voting in the Primary Tuesday.

President – Donald Trump received 80% of the Republican votes, while Joe Biden received nearly 90% of the Democratic votes. On the Libertarian presidential ticket, Chase Russel Oliver received the most votes with 27% out of a field of six candidates.

Both of Nebraska’s U-S Senate seats had primary elections on Tuesday. Deb Fischer received just under 80% of the vote in her race over Aaron Kowalski, and Pete Ricketts received 79% in his ticket race over John Glen Weaver and Mac Stevens. In the Legal Marijuana Now party race for U-S Senate seat in Nebraska, Kerry Eddy garnered 68% of the vote over Kenneth Peterson.
