FLOODING is an issue this afternoon. The Nebraska Department of Transportation has closed off the following roadways due to flooding – Highway 91 between Fremont and Blair – part of that due to a railroad closure, Highway 36 between Fremont and Bennington, Highway 64 closed at the Elkhorn River, and Highway 30 closed between Fremont and Blair.

With several inches of rain received this morning – 6.87 inches at the Blair Airport, ..the Washington County Sheriff’s Office is asking drivers and pedestrians to avoid going into flood waters. Do not pass barricades in vehicle or on foot. Bell Street in Arlington is closed from sixth street to the east, first street in Arlington is closed at Ellsworth to the north. The softball complex, dog park and Bell Creek Memorial Park should not be entered. Other areas close to the river are also expected to be flooded.
