IOWA FALLS, Iowa – The Northeast Community College volleyball team competed in the Region 11 Tournament Quarterfinals Wednesday night in Iowa Falls, Iowa against Ellsworth Community College. The Hawks fell in the contest 3-0 to put a cap on their season.
Northeast (20-15, 6-5 ICCAC) entered the postseason as the No. 5 seed in the tournament with the opportunity to avenge their October 12 loss to the Panthers. The Hawks struggled to get going in the match but were right there with Ellsworth in the third and final set before ultimately falling. Northeast finished the campaign with 20 wins and will now look ahead to the offseason.

“This team has had many ups and downs this season, and they stayed together through it all and worked hard,” Schultze said. “Girls stepped up into positions and did a great job. I’m going to miss being around them every day. They are a fun group to be around!”
