Drought is becoming less of a worry in Nebraska, the Dakotas, Wyoming, Colorado, and Kansas. Kansas, according to the U.S. Drought Monitor does have some severe and extreme drought in the midsection of the state, but the remainder of the high plains states is seeing relief from the spring rains. Nebraska has a section of moderate drought in the southeastern part of the state. Some sections of Sarpy and Douglas county is designated as abnormally dry, but Dodge, Burt and Washington counties are clear of any stage of drought according to that report.
