SIOUX CITY, IOWA – The Mustangs have been picked to finish fifth in the Great Plains Athletic Conference in baseball, the league announced today with the release of its 2023 coaches’ poll.
Morningside, who finished fourth last season, received 58 points in the poll. Concordia was picked to finish first, with 98 points and eight first place votes.
Morningside is scheduled to open the season with a home contest on February 17, playing Dakota State at 3 p.m. before spending the rest of the month on the road.
The Mustangs return home on March 14, playing Mayville State, before opening the conference schedule at Dordt on March 18.
