Midland’s Leimbach named GPAC Setter of the Week

SIOUX CITY, Iowa – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports have announced that Hope Leimbach of Midland University is this week’s GPAC Setter-of-the-Week for her play last week. This is her third weekly award this season.

Leimbach, a junior from Lincoln, Nebraska, averaged just over 12.5 assists per set at Midland swept No. 6-ranked Concordia on the road this week. She coordinated the Warriors’ offense to a hitting percentage of .324 and added eight digs defensively as well as three block assists.

No. 3 Midland (14-0, 3-0 GPAC) will be back in action twice this week, beginning with a home match versus Hastings (11-4, 2-1 GPAC) on Wednesday night. First serve inside the Wikert Event Center is set for 7:30 p.m. On Saturday, the Warriors travel to Crete, Nebraska to take on Doane (12-3, 1-2 GPAC) at 3:00 p.m.
