FREMONT, Neb. – Midland University has announced its 2024-2025 women’s basketball schedule. The Warriors will open their season at the Briar Cliff Invitational in Sioux City, Iowa. Newly appointed head coach Chris Burks will lead his team against Valley City State University on November 1 before taking on Bethany College on the second day of the invite.
Other nonconference matchups include trips to face Mount Mercy University (11/9), the University of Jamestown (11/30), and two games at the Bruin Classic against Bellevue University (12/29) and Mayville State University (12/30).
The Warriors begin conference play on Saturday, November 16 at home against Briar Cliff University. They’ll host Mount Marty University the following Wednesday (11/20) before going on the road. The 2024-25 Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) looks to be challenging once again after five teams made the NAIA National Tournament last year, including defending national champion Dordt University.
A new face to the schedule in the GPAC is Waldorf University who officially joined the conference on July 1. The teams who share the ‘warriors’ moniker will meet up twice this season on Thursday, January 2, 2025, in Forest City, Iowa, and then again on Saturday, February 15 in Fremont.
