FREMONT, Neb. – Midland University has unveiled its 2024 football season schedule. The Warriors will aim to build on their 6-5 overall record and 5-5 mark in the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) from last year. They will kick off the season with a home game against Clarke University on Friday, August 30. The game is set for a 6:30 p.m. kickoff at Heedum Field in Fremont, Nebraska.
This will be the 9th season for the Warriors under head coach Jeff Jamrog. During his tenure, he has guided Midland to a 52-32 record since 2016. With a winning season in each of his first eight seasons, Coach Jamrog and the Warriors own the highest winning percentage of any Nebraska college football team since 2016 (.619).
Following its home opener on Aug. 30, Midland will play two more home games before hitting the road. On Saturday, September 7, Dordt University comes to Fremont as the teams begin their GPAC seasons. A week later, the Warriors will host Morningside University on Sept. 14.
The first road test of 2024 will come on Sept. 21 when Midland travels to take on reigning GPAC Champion Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa. The month ends on Sept. 28 with a home game against Dakota Wesleyan University.
October and November will see the Warriors take the field three times each. They will travel to Waldorf University (Oct. 5) and to Briar Cliff University (Oct. 12) before hosting Hastings College during Homecoming Weekend on Oct. 19. The final month of the regular season starts with trips to Mount Marty University (Nov. 2) and Doane University (Nov. 9). Midland will wrap up its 2024 regular season on Nov. 16 with a game against Concordia University.
