Graduate senior Kamryn Meyer tabs her third Summit League TicketSmarter Peak Pitcher of the Week honors, as announced by the league on Monday. Meyer shares the title this week as co-pitcher of the week.
Meyer put in 10.2 innings of work in her two appearances this weekend where she only allowed four hits and one walk with zero runs for a 0.00 ERA. The ace threw 16 strikeouts this weekend to put her season total at 183. She added three assists and one putout.
Meyer picked up her 21st victory and maintained her winning streak of 16. Not having lost a game since her appearance at Nebraska, Meyer has the longest victory streak among D1 pitchers at 16. With two shutouts on the weekend, she has gone seven games without allowing a run. The Iowa native is only 37 strikeouts away from hitting 1000 career Ks.
Meyer and the Mavericks will close the regular season with one final home series against the South Dakota State Jackrabbits on May 3-4. The series this weekend will determine the Summit League regular season champions.
