In the unveiling of the City of Omaha’s 2025 Capitol Improvement Plan, one of the projects on Mayor Jean Stothart is wanting to move the Omaha Police Department’s Shooting Range from Elkhorn to an undisclosed site near Fort Calhoun according to several metro area media outlets. That move, to a flood plain area that will not be developed, will cost over 19 million dollars. It will be an outdoor range according to the mayor.
