OMAHA, Nebraska – Lindsay Corporation (NYSE: LNN), a leading global manufacturer and distributor of irrigation and infrastructure equipment and technology, was on the National Mall to showcase how irrigation is essential for food security. More than 15,000 people flocked to the National Mall to see the ag equipment as part of the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) Celebration of Modern Ag on May 6-8 in Washington, D.C.

More than 80 pieces of equipment were on display between the Smithsonian Museums in our nation’s capital. The Lindsay exhibit illustrated the many ways sustainable irrigation practices can have a positive effect on agriculture around the world and promote food security and environmental stewardship. Under a 45-foot Zimmatic™ central pivot span, Lindsay representatives highlighted how irrigation products and technological solutions positively impact food production. Visitors, including many who had no previous exposure to agriculture, were also treated to snacks from Lindsay growers across the country to show how irrigation plays a role in what they eat.
The three-day event kept the Lindsay team busy:
- Deputy Secretary of Agriculture, Xochitl Torres Small, took time to learn more about Lindsay’s telemetry solutions and variable rate irrigation (VRI) applications and how they help conserve water
- Met with legislators from around the country interested in helping growers in their states improve precision water application with Lindsay irrigation solutions
- Jason Parker, director of dealer development at Lindsay, participated on two panel discussions focused on water management and rural broadband needs
- Attended breakfast with Nebraska lawmakers in Washington, discussing Lindsay’s key initiatives to help farmers around the world grow more with less
