Late Score Lifts White Over Red in NE Nebraska All-Star Football Game

O’Neill Quarterback Mason Walsh hit Haustyn Forney of Humphrey St. Francis for a 25-yard touchdown pass with seven seconds left, and the White Team beat the Red Team 17-10 in the 9th annual Northeast Nebraska All-Star Football Classic, played in Norfolk on Saturday.

Oakland/Craig’s Mike Brands led the White defense with seven solo tackles and a tackle for loss, earning WHite Team Defensive MVP honors for the game.

Other members of the White Team included Zach Vander Griend of West Point-Beemer, Cody Steffen of GACC, Mike Maline, and Caden Nelson of Oakland-Craig, Tekamah-Herman’s Eli Lingle, Derek Petersen of BRLD, Logan View/Scribner-Snyder’s Brett Uhing, and Lance Paprocki of Clarkson/Leigh. New North Bend Central and former BRLD Head Coach Dan Maresh was the Head Coach of the White Team while BRLD Assistant TJ Hilsinger was an Assistant for the White Squad.
