BISMARCK, N.D. — Senior pitcher Savannah Gunn has been named the North Star Athletic Association Pitcher of the Week for her performance last week in the Bruins’ doubleheader non-conference sweep at Peru State College. It marked the second time in her BU career Gunn has earned the honor.
Gunn tossed a complete-game shutout in BU’s 3-0 win at Peru State. She did not allow a walk while striking out eight batters and scattering five hits in seven innings of work.
Gunn is 4-3 on the season with a 3.81 ERA and 36 strikeouts.
Bellevue returns to conference action this Friday-Saturday, Mar. 29-30, when they entertain Dickinson State University in a four-game NSAA series. Friday’s doubleheader will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday’s twin-bill will start at noon.
