LINCOLN –Nebraska Governor-elect Jim Pillen announced he will be retaining Jason Jackson as the Director of the Nebraska Department of Administrative Services.

“Jason has been an asset in shrinking state government by making it more productive and business-minded,”said Governor-elect Pillen. “He will continue seeking new innovations, streamlining processes, and improving services in government. Jason understands the high quality of service Nebraskans deserve, and I look forward to working with him to continue finding new efficiencies and savings for Nebraska taxpayers.”

Jackson has served as the Director of the Nebraska Department of Administrative Services since 2018. He also serves the State of Nebraska as Chief HR Officer, starting in 2016. Before his public service, Jackson worked in HR in the software industry. He served for five years as a Navy Officer, earning the Navy Achievement Medal and Navy Commendation Medal for his service in the War on Terrorism. Jackson is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy and has earned a Masters of Arts in Political Science from San Diego State University and a Juris Doctor from Thomas Jefferson School of Law.
