Top Gun Events on Friday announced the Top Gun Cornhusker Classic, an elite fast-pitch softball tournament to be played in Omaha from October 25 to 27, 2024. The tournament will feature competition for ages 12U to 18U.
The tournament will feature local select clubs such as Nebraska Gold, Nebraska Thunder/National, and Nebraska Quakes from Omaha and Lincoln. More than 120 teams have registered, with 180 teams from across the Midwest and beyond expected to compete.
“We are excited to bring the Top Gun Cornhusker Classic to Omaha and showcase the skills of these talented teams,” said Jeremy McDowell, CEO of Top Gun Events. “This event highlights the best-of-the-best softball players from around the country and promises economic benefits to the Omaha metropolitan area.”
The tournament will take place at various facilities throughout the Omaha metro area, including Papillion Landing, Westchester, La Vista City Park, and Council Bluffs Recreation Complex, providing a platform for athletes to perform in front of scouts and college coaches expected to attend. Teams from eight states have already committed to compete, indicating the event’s regional draw.
