Clean up continues from Friday’s tornadoes. The Washington County Emergency Management Office has updates on where to go for help, how to help and other important information. Go online to washingtoncountyne.gov and click the red tab marked “Emergency Notifications”. Thousands were without power from Friday’s tornadoes, power crews, however, have restored most service to most areas. At this point, just under 553 households and businesses are without power in Douglas county, 14 in Washington County. Crews continue to work in the areas damaged by tornados. Officials are asking people to refrain from contacting or distracting the crews as they work.
