Central Community College took on McCook Community College on September 18, at McCook Community College.

McCook was able to emerge victorious with a 3-0 win over Central Community College.

McCook won all three sets with scores of 25-21, 25-15, and 25-18. The team’s strong offensive performance was led by Caylin Barnett, who recorded 17 kills with an impressive hitting percentage of .455. Charlee Russick also contributed significantly with 13 kills.

The Raiders struggled to find their rhythm throughout the match. Liv Swanson and Maleigha Johnson both totaled 16 digs, as well as Josie Bentz team-high 11 kills. We also saw Libbie Ball get 25 assists in the 3 matches.

“Mccook has a nice team and they are well coached.’ Head coach Mary Young said, “I didn’t think we seized opportunities to make them play out of system and as a result we were playing defense the whole night instead of dictating the flow of the game. We continue to learn each game and we’re eager to get back on the court against north Platte.”

Raiders move to 11-5, and are in action this Thursday, Sept. 19th, vs North Platte CC.
