SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – After making history on Saturday with one of the greatest offensive performances in college baseball history, Tyler Bishop has been named the TicketSmarter Summit League Peak Performer of the Week.

Bishop was the catalyst for Omaha’s remarkable 21-15 victory over South Dakota State on Saturday. He became the first Maverick to ever go 6-for-6 in a game, the first to score six runs in a game, and the first in the Division I era to drive in seven RBIs in a game. On top of all of this, he was the first Maverick to hit for the cycle in the D1 era and the first overall since 2008. Saturday also marked his second game this season with two home runs.

Overall, Bishop went 8-for-19 in four games last week with eight runs scored, nine RBIs, and five XBHs. He is now top 5 in the Summit League in OPS (1.022), SLG (.606), hits (45), doubles (10), triples (two), home runs (seven), and RBIs (45).

This is the first weekly honor of Bishop’s career.
