UPDATE: Beemer Men injured in Jeep/Tractor accident Monday

Two Beemer men were involved in a Jeep/Tractor Accident on the 20A link just after 10:30 Monday morning.

According to a press release from the Cuming County Sheriff’s Office, both men were southbound just south of the 20A and P Rd intersection when the Jeep Cherokee, driven by 88-year-old Robert M. Vahle, hit the left rear tractor wheel while trying to pass it, causing the John Deere Tractor, driven by 58-year-old Gary E. Marx, to go into the West Ditch and roll.

Marx was taken to Franciscan Healthcare in West Point and life flighted to an Omaha Hospital with serious, life-threatening injuries while Vahle was taken to Franciscan Healthcare with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Cuming County Sheriff’s Office responded to the incident and received assistance from the Beemer Police Department and Beemer Fire & Rescue.
