In a move to “simplify and streamline operations” in Hesston, Kansas, AGCO is relocating the production of some equipment to Mexico.

In a statement provided to KSN TV, the company said the Hesston plant will continue to manufacture Massey Ferguson windrowers, large square balers, combines, and combine headers, utilizing more than $28 million in investments made in the Kansas facility since 2021.

Production of small square balers, round balers, and rotary mowers will shift to AGCO’s Querétaro, Mexico, facility beginning in 2025.

AGCO stated that by streamlining the Hesston portfolio, their goal is to secure a profitable future for the plant. They expect the workforce impact in Hesston to be managed through typical attrition.
