Vincent Henry Rolf was born on September 23, 1939 to Henry and Matilda (Hammerschmidt) Rolf on the family farm.  He attended school at Monterey and graduated from Guardian Angels High School in 1958.  Vinny served in the United States Army Reserves, attending training at Ft. Leonardwood, MO.  He was later called into active duty in Ft. Lee, VA.  After being honorably discharged he returned to the family farm.

On April 22, 1961, he was united in marriage to Agnes Stieren at St. Aloysius Catholic Church-Aloys.  Vinny and Aggie raised their family on the family farm, where he raised livestock and had row crops.  He took pride in the fact that he milked cows for 50 years starting when he was six years old.

Vinny was an active member of St. Boniface Catholic Church, serving as church trustee and on the parish council.  He served on several boards throughout the community such as 4-H leader, township board, school board, and various other community activities.

Some of his most precious moments were spending time with his grandchildren.  Playing spoons was his favorite game to play with them.  He enjoyed bowling and golfing.
