Luetta S. Reuter, 94, of Norfolk, formerly of Wisner
February 4, 1929 - January 11, 2024

Funeral services for Luetta S. Reuter age 94 of Norfolk, NE formerly of Wisner, NE will be held on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Pilger, NE with Rev. Robert Engebretsen officiating.  Interment will be in the Wisner Cemetery following a luncheon.  Visitation will be on Monday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the church and will continue one hour prior to the service.  Minnick Funeral Home in Wisner is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Luetta passed away on Thursday, January 11, 2024 at The Meadows in Norfolk, NE.

Luetta Selma Reuter, 94, was born on the family farm northwest of Pilger to Edward and Beata (Loewe) Hasenkamp on February 4, 1929.

She was baptized and confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Pilger, Nebraska. She was a life- member of the church, and was a member of the choir.

She attended Stanton County rural school district #25

She married Calvin Reuter at St. John’s Lutheran Church on October 8, 1950. The couple had three children: Carol Lynn, Cathy Ann and Randy John. She assisted Calvin on the couple’s farm north of Wisner, and after retirement, she assisted with his commercial iris garden.

Calvin died on February 24, 2006. She moved to Norfolk in April of 2010, and then to The Meadows.
She enjoyed reading, crocheting, playing the concertina and dancing.

She is survived by daughter Carol Vest of Harvard, Illinois; grandchildren Matthew Reuter and Courtney Unrae; sisters-in-law Joan Hasenkamp of West Point and Darlene Reuter of Norfolk; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded by her parents Edward and Beata Hasenkamp; husband Calvin Reuter; daughter Cathy Reuter; son Randy Reuter; son-in-law Don Vest; granddaughter Alexis Reuter; siblings Bernitha (Emil) Gemelke, Merlin Hasenkamp, Wilfred (Palma) Hasenkamp; brother-in-law Marlin Reuter; and sister-in-law Janelle Dirkson.
