York vs Lexington/Paul Pack

The boys matchup would be a lot closer, at least through three quarters. Lexington would jump ahead early going on a 5-0 run by junior Jase Carpenter. It did not take long for York to answer though, as they went on a 12-0 run to answer, fueled by seven first quarter points for junior Garrett Ivey. In the second, six different players would get points for the Dukes, helping them jump to a 29-20 halftime lead. Lexington would need an answer headed into the second half and they sure got it. 11 third quarter points from junior Daud Daud would help close the gap for Lexington, making it a 34-32 lead. Right when everyone thought the tide was turning though, Ivey answered again for the Dukes, going on a solo 8-0 run, and making it a 42-32 game. From then on, the Minutemen could just not close the gap again and York pulled away in the fourth, outscoring Lexington 17-7 in the final period. Daud would lead Lexington in scoring with 18 points, while Ivey led the Dukes with 22.

York will travel to Elkhorn on December 14th for their next matchup while Lexington will host Grand Island Northwest on December 17th.
