Women in Agriculture Make a Difference Daily

During the month of April, we hare highlighting women in agriculture who have made a difference. Click the links below to find out about some of these amazing women, nominated by those that know them well:

Amy Harsch of Wood River, better known as Mrs. Nebraska Irrigation on Twitter, has built her career around water management.

Ronette Heinrich, Executive Director of NCC the Classic, has a strong understanding of the cattle market which takes her from the pasture to the show ring…

Jill Goedeken is the State Wide 4-H Volunteer and Professional Development Extension Educator, but her roots in agriculture take her all the way back to her 4H days in York County…

For Butler County farmer Rachel Siffring getting the chance to leave a job in town and farm alongside husband Kevin and their kids was the best decision. No day on the operation is the same, from caring for livestock to hauling anhydrous, running for parts or doing bookwork, Rachel wouldn’t trade it for anything.

Mari Farr Smith is a Nebraska State Brand Inspector, housewife and ranch wife. She inspires me because of her commitment to her faith, her family and her passion for the care and love of her family and animals. Her father in law dough said, “She’s one of the hardest working women I know. Up early and she’s always been there to make the ranch operation work.” She’s a passionate advocate for pet adoption and she knows how important it is to get good homes for abandoned pets.
