Wolves look to keep momentum going

Loomis- After finishing 3rd at last year’s state golf tourney the Loomis Wolves hope to come home with a Class D state championship this season. Loomis won the D-4 district meet last week as Tyson Essex was the district champion and Gavin Norris finished 2nd. Head coach Gene Samuleson spoke about the upcoming state tournament with the Rural Radio Network’s Jayson Jorgensen.

Members of this year’s team that will golf at state include, Tyson Essex, Gavin Norris, Grady Keeshan, Luke Larson, and Zach Rademaker. Other area teams that have qualified for the state meet include Overton and Hitchcock County in Class D.

Class A Site: Norfolk Country Club, Norfolk
Dates: Tuesday, May 21, –Championship first round (18 holes). Starting 9:00 AM.
Wednesday, May 22, –Championship second round (18 holes). Starting 9:00 AM.

Class B Site: Scotts Bluff Country Club, Scottsbluff
Dates: Tuesday, May 21, –Championship first round (18 holes). Starting 9:00 AM.
Wednesday, May 22, –Championship second round (18 holes). Starting 9:00 AM.

Class C Site: Elks Country Club, Columbus
Dates: Tuesday, May 21, –Championship first round (18 holes). Starting 9:00 AM.
Wednesday, May 22, –Championship second round (18 holes). Starting 9:00 AM.

Class D Site: Lake Maloney Golf Club, North Platte
Dates: Tuesday, May 21, –Championship first round (18 holes). Starting 9:00 AM.
Wednesday, May 22, –Championship second round (18 holes). Starting 9:00 AM.
