Whippets Sweep at Home over Lexington
Minden won big at home on Tuesday

Minden-The Minden girls improved to 3-0 on the season with a 58-10 win over Lexington on Tuesday night. Lexington trailed just 12-9 at the end of the 1st quarter as Kianna Clouse hit a three at the buzzer, but that would be the final field goal of the night for the Minutemaids. Minden would go on a 44-0 run before Lexington hit a free throw in the second half. Priscila Madriz led the Whippets with 10 points, Sloane Beck, Kinsie Land and Myla Emery all chipped with nine a piece. For Lexington just two players scored as Clouse had five, while Hannah Scharff also had five.

In the boys game, Minden used a big third quarter and a powerful inside game to beat Lexington 64-51. The Whippets led just 31-26 at half but pulled away in the third behind the play of post Caden Bradley who would finish with 19 points. Fellow post Brycen Schwenka come off the bench to score 12, while Carter Harsin had 11. Lexington who is now 0-3 was led by Daud Daud who had 11, and Graysen Strauss had 10.
