LEXINGTON – The Lexington Minutemen football team won their first game in nearly three years this past week, and were led by senior Cesar Cano.
The Minutemen won 34-18 over Alliance on the road and Cano had 21 carries for 286 yards and three touchdowns. He also led the way on defense, finishing as the leader in tackles with 12. On the season, Cano has 99 carries for 777 yards and nine rushing touchdowns, averaging nearly eight yards a carry. He has a team high 68 tackles as well. The win for Lexington was their first played win, as they did have a forfeit win in 2022, since October 15th of 2021 in a 31-7 win over Alliance.
