OVERTON – The Overton Eagles football team is off to a 4-0 start this season and a big part of that has been the play of senior Hayden Muirhead.
So far through four games, Muirhead has completed over 52 percent of his passes with 566 passing yards and six touchdowns. On the ground, he’s averaging close to nine yards per carry and is the team’s leading rusher with 399 yards and eight rushing touchdowns. On defense, he has 29 tackles and is tied for the team lead in interceptions with three. In the most recent 40-20 win over Hitchcock County, Muirhead was 7-10 with 96 yards and also carried the ball 15 times for 163 yards and four touchdowns.
