OVERTON – The Overton Eagles volleyball team is 9-1 to start the year, and have been helped by the play of junior Daisy Ryan.
So far this season, Ryan has 128 kills, averaging 4.7 per set which leads the team. Ryan has also added 19 service aces, 15 blocks and 108 digs. She is coming off of a 22-kill performance against Maxwell in a three set win on Tuesday.
Overton won the state championship in 2023, and had a lot of turnover from last years team, but so far the new look Eagles have answered the bell. Ryan spoke with KRVN’s Jon Willis.
Overton is back in action at the Wilcox-Hildreth triangular on Thursday.
